X Factor's Christopher Maloney hangs out with mentor Gary Barlow

Christopher Maloney was mentored by Take That star Gary Barlow on The X Factor and even though the show is over they're still hanging out!

Liverpudlian singer Chris, 34, took his mum to watch Gary, 41, performing solo at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Wednesday night (2 January) and popped into Gary's dressing room during the break for a catch-up.



Chris tweeted this photo of the pair together with the message: "Me and the man Gary Barlow in his dressing room at interval of concert. Brilliant."

Gary treated Chris and his mum to the tickets and Chris later tweeted the star to say thank you and praise his performance: "What a show, amazing! Brilliant, brilliant!"



Christopher finished X Factor in third place during the December 2012 finals, coming behind winner James Arthur and runner-up Jahmene Douglas.

Chris will join James, Jahmene and the rest of this year's top seven finalists on The X Factor Live Tour 2013, which kicks off on Saturday, 26 January at the Manchester Arena.

Maybe this time Gary will be the one popping in to see how Christopher is doing! We'd love to see them teaming up on 'Rule The World' again.
