The five-piece have snapped up an album deal with the hot-shot record company, who look after acts such as Justin Bieber and Rihanna.
Speaking to Billboard the group said: "We were so afraid. We didn't want to leave England. Nowadays, luckily, people are a lot more open to their favourite acts going to America. It used to be a little bit like, 'They're leaving us! They're going to the US and they're never coming back!' People seem a little more accepting of that now."
Since arriving in the US, the girls have been working hard to self-promote, performing at a glam Perez Hilton party, as well as appearing on American daytime TV and attending both the MTV Video Music Awards and New York Fashion Week.
The group, who've been together four years now, haven't been short of hits - with 11 top 10 singles. But the girls - Frankie Sanford, Mollie King, Rochelle Humes, Vanessa White and Una Healy - will release their first Stateside single in early 2013, and are already said to be working with infamous producer, Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins.
The ladies tweeted from their official Twitter account: ''OM-US-G! The Sats have inked a deal with Island Def Jam and Mercury Records for a U.S. album.''
"They later uploaded a statement to their official website reading: "Thanks ever so much for your patience, whilst we've been working hard in the studio across the pond, with the likes of Diane Warren and some other hot hot talent. We can not wait for you to hear our new beatz!
"Those in the US who've been lucky enough to attend our East and West Coast gigs this month have already been treated to our new single 'What About Us'. Stay tuned America, there are more dates on the horizon including our Avalon Nightclub show in LA on October 4th.
"We'd like to give a big shout out to our new American record label for making us feel so warm and welcome. Island Def Jam and Mercury Records we've always r-e-s-p-e-c-t-e-d your roster so thnxx for getting on board the Sats ship."
