Kim, 31, told fans that rapper Kanye surprised her with the white Persian kitten - which she was pictured with this week - so that she wouldn't feel lonely without him in Miami while she films her new reality show Kourtney & Kim Take Miami.

And, just in case she forgot who bought the tiny kitten, as we already revealed, the couple have helpfully named it Mercy, which is presumably a reference to Kanye's song of the same name.
Kim said: "I've wanted a white Persian kitty for a long time. Years! With me being in Miami, Kanye knew I would need some company when he wasn't around so he surprised me with her."

Kim added: "She's so sweet and the cutest thing ever."
There's no word on whether Mercy has accompanied Kim to Australia, where she arrived today on a promotional trip.
After landing (and tweeting a picture of the gorgeous Australian scenery) the reality star was quick to seek out Aussie singer Cody Simpson.

Unfortunately for Kim, it looks like she'll have to find another tour guide during her stay in the country, as Cody tweeted to her: "Heading back to LA tonight. Enjoy the Gold Coast, that's my city! Wish I was there to show you round."
Kim's reportedly only staying in Australia for 48 hours to promote QuickTrim. The last time she was in the country was during her highly-publicised split from estranged husband Kris Humphries, when she jetted there just hours after filing for divorce.
