The Wanted Max George caught by birthday surprise of cake in the face!

He might be a member of world-famous boyband The Wanted, but that didn't mean Max George escaped a caking on his birthday!

Max began his 24th birthday celebrations in the US, appearing alongside bandmates Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran and Tom Parker at an MTV2 pre-Video Music Awards concert.



The Manchester boy was all smiles as he was presented with a birthday cake, but the cheeky chappy soon became the butt of the joke when the mammoth desert was planted on his face.

Ever the joker, Max took the stunt in good humour, laughing as he wiped icing off of his face.



Despite being eight hours behind in America, the birthday boy was keen to get celebrations in full swing, tweeting: ''So does that mean I can start getting drunk now because it's my birthday at home??:)''

It's single boy Max's first birthday alone after his recent split from his fiancee, Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan.



Well if he needs a birthday smooch (and that cake licked off his face), we're sure there's a queue of girls who are happy to oblige!
