Andy Murray's dogs get their paws on his Olympic medals!

Andy Murray has found a novel way to use his gold and silver medals – as dog collars!

The tennis ace had barely gotten his hands on his medals before his dogs Maggie May and Rusty had dognapped them.



The pair who belong to Andy and girlfriend Kim Sears even managed to upload a photo of their new bling to their own Twitter account, @maggiemay_hem

Maggie May (right) must be the alpha dog in the house as she got the gold and tweeted: "Here we go folks... Just checking to make sure Rusty definitely has the silver, obviously."

Andy made history when he thrashed rival Roger Federer in the final to clinch gold on Sunday afternoon, the first British man to do so since 1908. He followed that with a silver in the mixed doubles alongside partner Laura Robson.

Luckily in the Murray/Sears household, Maggie May and Rusty are on hand to keep Andy grounded, tweeting pictures of his Wimbledon runner up silverware being used as a tray for the dogs' personalised cupcakes!



We reckon it's girlfriend Kim with the sense of humour and for many people it's a welcome glimpse into the private life of the Scottish tennis star who won the hearts of the nation in his teary defeat at Wimbledon this year.
