Visit York has created a three part short film series and each one follows a tiny pup on his adventures.
Yorkie, has become the world's first canine presenter in this travelogue series which will be uploaded to YouTube this month.
The films aim to give viewers a unique doggy view of the beautiful and historic city.
And who better to help us get to know York and its surrounding countryside than one of Yorkshire's most famous exports: the Yorkshire Terrier.
Dressed in a specially-made adventurer's outfit, Yorkie certainly gives the likes of Michael Palin and Portillo a run for their money.
Watch him as he strolls along the twisting, narrow lane of one of the best preserved medieval streets in Europe, Shambles. Or follow him as he gets a VIP guest dogs-eye view of the National Railway Museum.
In his other adventures Yorkie takes a scenic journey on a steam train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, visiting the North York Moors National Park and roaming the ruins of Whitby Abbey.
He'll also meet with Viking fans from the Jorvik Viking Centre and explore the history of the city's chocolate making heritage at York's Chocolate Story.
The travelogue series has been launched in partnership with City of York Council, North Yorkshire County Council and Virgin Trains to celebrate Visit York's "the Original City Adventure" campaign aimed at encouraging visitors to plan their very own adventure in York and North Yorkshire.
As one of the world's most dog loving nations, Visit York aims to showcase the many adventures on offer in the region through the eyes of this adorable pooch and tourism chiefs are keen to point out this is not a guide to dog friendly venues in the area, though well behaved dogs are of course welcome with their owners!
The first episode of Yorkie's travelogue series will be released mid-August, followed by two more episodes in September.
