How anyone could possibly leave them is beyond us, but the nine pups were found in a box in Victoria, Australia.
A passer-by saw the dogs, which are thought to be a mix of boxer and staffy and immediately got help.
Luckily, they're on the mend and are feeding well.
Described by their carers at Geelong Animal Welfare Society as an excitable bunch, they've also been vaccinated to give them the best possible new start.
The furry gang will be placed with foster carers until they are old enough to be rehomed.
Jody Dickson, the society's kennel manager, said: "They were dehydrated and malnourished. I think they were out there for a couple of days.
"They're about 4-5 weeks old and probably still need a mum, the smallest one was trying to suckle the others.
"They're all just settling in, they're clumsy because they can't really walk yet."
