A new app is in development that will finally allow us to communicate with animals.

Well, not quite. But apparently it will translate what your dog's barks and growls mean.

Dogs' sounds will be recorded via a smart collar

WhatsYapp (an ingenious name, if you ask us) will let you know the meaning of every yelp your four-legged friend makes.

The dog will have to wear a smart collar which will record the sounds it makes, its movements and location. It'll then pair up with your phone and send a notification when any noise is made.

It hasn't been released yet, but when it is, it'll be available from Fetch, by Ocado.

So if you want to know just how many times your pet thinks about sniffing another dog's butt, this is the app for you.
