During this time he applied for 950 positions, and only received 50 replies.

Most of the companies that did respond to his application, told him he "didn't have enough experience."

Despite being turned down time and time again, Tom, who has cerebral palsy, refused to throw in the towel.

If anything, it made him more determined to succeed.

And his unwavering ambition has paid off now he has landed a job at an ASDA store in Greater Manchester.

Working two days a week, Tom is now a permanent member of checkout staff.

ASDA found their enthusiastic new employee through the Movement to Work scheme the company supports.

He told the Daily Mirror: "All of the knock-backs made me want it even more.

"You've got to keep going, seize life and don't sit around feeling sorry for yourself."

Tom, you're an inspiration!
