There's nothing more luxury than gently waking up to the smell of bacon wafting from the kitchen.

Well now, J&Ds – who are renowned for their unusual products – have created bacon pants.

NASA technology was used to print the smelly pants

That's right, underwear with meat-scented gussets. So you won't even have to step out of bed to have that delightful smell enticing your nostrils.

Available for both men and women, the pants are £13 and come complete with the disclaimer: "Not recommended for postmen, zookeepers, vets, dog walkers and circus performers".

It may sound mad, but there is real science to back up the interesting invention.

The smell can survive multiple washes

The technology that allows the material to emit that glorious smell of bacon was first developed by NASA. The fragrance is embedded deeply into the ink, which is then printed onto the garment.

They claim the undies can be washed and worn quite a few times before the odour wears off.

Other bizarre products the company makes are bacon bikinis and pillowcases.
