A selfless dad has become the first person in British history to donate two of his organs to save the lives of complete strangers.

Generous Steven Norrie already gave away his kidney to an unknown patient four years ago.

But now, the call centre worker has also donated a third of his liver to save a young child's life.

The father-of-three, from Lancashire, has become the first ever UK donor to give two separate organs up for transplants.

He told the Daily Mirror: "It's a short-term inconvenience for long-term benefit. A couple of months of reduced mobility and a bit of discomfort is a very small price to pay when you have saved the life of a child."

Since his surgery at St James' Hospital in Leeds, Steven says his partner and ex-wife have both made him promise not to make any more donations. They have compromised by letting him give blood.

What a nice guy!
