Marjorie's book Oliver's Gift is now on sale

The historical romance novel, titled Oliver's Gift, is on sale in Waterstone's and W H Smiths.

Set in her home county of Norfolk, it follows Australian Kate as she falls in love during a trip to the county, and also unearths a mystery from the Civil War.

She told her local paper: "I have always loved writing and I thought it would be nice to leave my name behind when I go. I don't know how many years I have left and my mother lived to be 92.

"It has always been an ambition to have a book printed.

"I have written things for years, ever since I learned to write, but I thought I would have a go at getting it printed.

"It is lovely to see it printed. I could have cried when I saw the cover for the first time."

Good for you, Marjorie!
