Fifty of the tiny pooches competed in Melbourne's first ever dachshund race.
Disabled, old, standard and mini dachshunds – everyone was invited.
As hundreds of human and canine fans looked on with enjoyment, the hot dogs donned their best (and wurst) costumes - and ran as fast as their little legs could carry them.
Organiser Scott Highfield told the Mail Online: "They're really fast, especially the minis; the minis move faster than you think.
"It's on for young and old as soon as they jump out of the blocks, it's over very quickly."
