57 per cent of women said they dreamed of house sharing with Jamie Oliver because of the culinary benefits that would come with it. And the 70 per cent of men who selected Becks as their ideal housemate, chose him so they could have a kick around in the garden with him.
A new survey from estate agency Purplebricks.com also revealed Mary Berry was voted in second place, and Gordon Ramsey got a whopping 17 per cent of the votes.
While the women polled seemed to let their stomachs do the choosing, the men chose Daniel Craig as their second choice, closely followed by Taylor Swift.
Oddly, 22 per cent of women said shacking up with Kim Kardashian would be great – but she didn't get one vote from the men…
Poor old David Cameron received zero votes in the dream celeb housemate survey, and for once, Ed Milliband trumped him by bringing in a staggering 12 per cent of the female vote.
None of the men questioned voted for either – apparently the idea of a political chat over their morning cuppa was a too much to bear.
Michael Bruce, CEO of Purplebricks, said: "The survey has illustrated that both men and women are looking for convenience when it comes to their living situation – whether it's Jamie Oliver catering to all their culinary needs, or David Beckham providing constant entertainment."
