From watching Holby City, Kim Tucker had learned life-saving CPR and used the show's advice to save Squishy.
The 45-year-old, from Crystal Palace, South London, brought the 14-week-old kitten back to life by rubbing her tiny heart and blowing air into her mouth.
She told the Mirror: "I've never done any first aid training in my life but I watch a lot of Casualty and Holby City.
"Instinct just took over and I yanked her little mouth open and started blowing air into it, because that's what they do on the show.
"Then I started rubbing her heart to try and get it going and after what seemed like an eternity but was probably only 15 seconds, she seemed to start responding."
Thankfully, her pet is now doing fine.
"I am a complete telly addict. I love all my soaps and dramas. I never thought they'd come in handy like this.
"I've never saved anyone's life, I feel really proud of myself."
