People who love dogs love other people who love dogs. But until now, the only surefire way of crossing paths with another canine lover was to take your furry four legged friend on a walk and hope your leads got tangled like they do in films.
Now all you need to do is download an app and snap a few selfies with your pooch. The future of dating is here!
A company has created a Tinder-like app that provides dog lovers with a way of meeting other pet owners and their pets. So you're guaranteed to have at least one thing in common, which is always a huge relief!
Based on GPS location, Tindog will suggest nearby matches and just like Tinder, users swipe left if they aren't keen or right if they've just spied the potential partner of their dreams. If both users swipe right, then it's a match and the new friends can chat about their dogs and whatever else they want to really.
The team behind the app are called Holidog, who are part of the 500 Startups company.
Dave McClure, CEO of 500 Startups, said: "Matching with someone that already shares your love for dogs only increases the chance for a real connection - plus everyone knows that dogs make the best wingmen." So true, a cute puppy in a selfie immediately makes anyone more attractive, fact!
Tindog is available on Android and iOS.
