Dolores and Matthew Lawrence first visited The Plough in Shustoke, near Birmingham, in 2011 while on holiday in the UK.
But there was something about the watering-hole that completely charmed them. So much so, they have come back every six weeks since then!
The pair make the 8,700-mile round trip from their home in Bloomington, Indiana without fail to enjoy a rather pricey pint in their "local".
Psychiatric nurse Dolores, 48, said: "We love The Plough. It's everything we imagined an English pub should be.
"We even worked in the pub on Bonfire Night. People here are so friendly."
She now plans to move to the UK with Matthew, 43, so they can become bonafide regulars.
Dolores adds: "In America we don't have pubs, we have bars. You would never go into a bar and start talking to people. If you did, everyone would think you were crazy."
Whereas spending £50,000 for a few pints makes total sense...
