Also called Peter, the well-loved pet was found over four miles away from his home – six weeks after he went MIA.
His owner was a hare's breath from giving up all hope, when a vet discovered his microchip and reunited them.
The grey rabbit had hopped merrily along from a garden in Challock, to an alley in Kennington, 4.2miles away.
There, he was picked up by a passer by and whisked off to Barrow Hill Veterinary Hospital in Ashford.
Head nurse Katie Mackintosh told KentOnline: "We contacted the owners who were extremely happy to have Peter returned to them completely unharmed from his escapade!
"Microchipping pets is an integral part of getting lost animals returned to their owners. It is important not only to chip your pets, but to ensure that the contact details are kept up to date."
So, Peter is safely back in his hutch. But now he's had a taste of adventure, will he be on the hop again soon?
