Robber Kyle Iveson, 24, was nicked in a flash after he was recognised by his ex girlfriend's mother and grandmother of his daughter, Karen Brown, 54.
Although Kyle was wearing a scarf around his face and had his hood up, Karen, 54, recognised him straight away because of his distinctive walk. He was holding a 12in knife and demanding her to open the till using a lower fake voice but he couldn't quite fool his ex-girlfriend's mum.
Karen was quoted in the Daily Mirror, saying: "I recognised him a mile off. He was holding the knife and demanding I open the till. He thought I wouldn't know it was him."
Iveson fled the store in Clitheroe, Lancashire, with £650 but was arrested shortly after as Karen immediately called the police and identified him.
Iveson, a heroin addict, confessed to the robbery and is now facing a three-year sentence along with a restraining order, which bans him from contacting Karen in any way.
