Robert Stubberfield turned up at the station in Towbridge, Wiltshire, after seeing snaps of his face on the social media site.
The 19-year-old was furious that cops had posted details about his shoplifiting crime.
But luckily his visit saved them a job, as they wanted the thief after he'd failed to turn up in court.
The teen was held in cells for failing to appear for a separate theft offence and was also charged with possessing a class A drug.
Police branded the lad's mistake as an "epic fail" and Sergeant James Suter was quoted in The Sun saying: "It was good of him to save us some time and money."
