Because, after six months of sweat, hard graft and taking on an extra job to fund the project, Rebecca Dennis and Chris Benn's house is now worth £60,000.
As well as fitting a new kitchen and re-decorating the entire house, they've even added a walk-in wardrobe. Now we're really jealous!
Photography student Rebecca and her self-employed fiancé, Chris, bought the two-bedroom house under a council-led renovation scheme in Stoke-on-Trent but never dreamed they'd make so much money on the property.
Rebecca said: "It would have been years before we could have afforded a house alone.
"My granddad heard about the scheme on TV and suggested we apply. We didn't fit the criteria during the first round of the scheme, but when it re-opened a year and a half later, we decided to do whatever it took to get a place."
Commenting on the amazing rejuvenation, Rebecca added: "It's a dream come true to have a house of our own.
"We're looking forward to it becoming a family area again where we can bring up children and people know their neighbours."
