Richard Shaw, a 33-year old from Southwick, Hants, has gathered ingredients from around the world to create the ultimate Cornish delight - but it comes with a hefty price tag.
And it's no wonder, if you look at the ingredients. The cows that produced the steak for the pasty are living the high life, being regularly massaged and fed beer and the £500-a-kilo wagyu steak comes all of the way from Japan.
The Tellicherry peppercorns are from India and even the potatoes have been imported all the way from America. In total, the Very Important Pasty's ingredients have travelled a total of 11,300 air miles to be part of the posh pasty.
Richard is set to take part in the World Pasty Championships in Cornwall on Saturday (28 March). He was quoted in the Daily Mirror, stating: "We came eighth last year but that was due to lack of experience. With the VIP, we're going for gold."
Sadly, we're going to have to stick to Greggs if we fancy the Cornish comfort food - £230 is out of our price range!
