While to some it screams out as a blue dress with a black lace trim, other people are seeing an off white number with gold trim.

Confused? So are we. And we're not the only ones!

Celebrities have been quick to post their thoughts on the mystery dress, with US singer Taylor Swift insisting: "I don't understand this odd dress debate and I feel like it's a trick somehow. I'm confused and scared. PS it's OBVIOUSLY BLUE AND BLACK."
Canadian pop star Justin Bieber added: "And for everyone asking I see blue and black."

Even TOWIE's Ricky Rayment said: "I see black and blue!! I dont get it! I'm cracking out.. why are people seeing it differently?!?!"

However, actress Anna Kendrick told her Twitter followers: "If that's not White and Gold the universe is falling apart. Seriously what is happening????"

Liberty X star Michelle Heaton tweeted: "Right I'm really freaked out - Faith [her daughter] just said its gold and white .. Is there something wrong with Me? #blueandblack."
I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here's Jake Quickenden added: "Why does people keep sending me a dress asking me the colour lol .... It's white and gold."

So what colour IS this dress?!

The frock is made by Roman Originals and costs £50. And apparently, the original is actually blue and black. Roman Originals are now said to be considering making a white and gold version to keep everyone happy.

Scientists have tried to explain the mystery, and it is all to do with the lighting of the Tumblr picture and individuals' colour spectrums. We're STILL baffled though...
