Angus Mainland met the young lady on a train whilst travelling Southampton to watch his favourite team play in the FA cup.
The two youngsters immediately hit it off and he later tweeted two selfies with her captioned: "I have a wife" and "Made her a palace fan. Love her." But sadly the romance was cut short after he failed to take her name or number.
Determined to find her, the 19-year-old from Bournemouth tweeted CrossCountry trains saying: "Please help me find the girl I sat next to on the 12:45 from Bournemouth to Southampton. Fell in love."
And although the train line did not respond, the tweet was retweeted over 4,000 times and was favourited 2,000 times.
It even caught the eye of glamour model Chelsea Ferguson and former footballer Mark Bright, who both got involved wishing him luck. The two have a combined following of almost a million, so it's no surprise he managed to find his dream girl after only two days.
Angus kept his followers updated as the search circulated the web, tweeting: "My phone hasn't stopped going off. This is mad."
With a huge online support base, Angus was pleased to let everyone know he had found his dream girl: "Thank you to everyone who retweeted! You can call off the search, I've found her and I'm talking to her! She's taken it very well!"
It just shows, where there is a will, there's a way! We hope they find romance!
