At the age of six most of us were probably playing with toys or watching DVDs, but one little girl has written a book, making her Britain's youngest author!

Amelia Hewitt created a trio of short tales that she's put together to produce My Three Funny Stories, in a bid to raise cash for a local Burnley hospice.

What's more, the talented girl's two-year-old sister, Bethany, even drew an array of illustrations to accompany the stories. How adorable is that?!

Amelia thought of the idea after her classmates at King RC Primary School, Burnley, started selling loom band bracelets for charity and decided she wanted to do something too.

So the dedicated lass spent months penning the stories, starting off on paper before moving to a computer to produce her work.

Her mum, Sarah, was quoted in the Daily Star discussing her daughter's creative streak: "She loves writing and the ideas just seem to come to her. The stories really are amazing considering she is so young."

Sarah and husband Andy hope a local firm will offer to print the booklet, so they can sell them on for £3.

We think J.K. Rowling should watch out!
