In fact, one in five of British women will end up kissing a colleague at their work bash this year.
But with the amount of effort girls put in to looking good for Xmas, we're hardly surprised.
In new research, carried out by Halo, three quarters of ladies will plan their party dresses at least two weeks before their work's festive celebrations. The average outfit will cost £60.12, while 14 per cent will splash out over £100!
Typically, women will spend two hours and 38 minutes getting prepped and preened for the big night, glamming up with fake tan and false lashes and nails. If you can't go all out for Christmas, when can you?!
The brand also found that ladies in Birmingham will take the longest, spending three hours and 47 minutes to get ready, while those in Aberdeen are much speedier, taking just over an hour and a half.
Andrew Freeman from Halo said: "The Christmas party is a big occasion for women; it's the chance to dress to impress and it seems that they are certainly going the extra mile this year."
We're definitely planning on treating ourselves to a sparkly number!
