One very cheeky monkey has been causing all sorts of mayhem after he escaped from a zoo in Cumbria!

The capuchin managed to run away from South Lakes Safari Zoo and has since managed to spend four days dodging keepers who are trying to catch him.

Local resident, Donna Martin, was quoted in The Daily Star explaining how she saw the animal running along the pavement in Dalton-in-Furness: "I was surprised and worried that it would get run over," she said.

"From a distance I thought it was a young cat, as it was slim and quick, but as I drove closer I realised it wasn't."

Since then, the escaped animal has been spotted in gardens - and even trying to breal into houses!

The zoo reportedly told newspapers they are too busy to discuss the matter - they're no doubt trying to find a way to get the mischievous monkey back home!
