Nope, your eyes aren't deceiving you - these really are X Factor contestants made out of peanuts!

With the show returning to our screens this Saturday (we can't wait), Steve Casino, 48, was asked by Just Eat to recreate some of the show's most memorable contestants.

Standing in line, these carefully crafted creations consist of Kitty Brucknell, Robert Unwin – or "chickenman" as we know him – Jedward, Wagner and Rylan Clark.

The talented chap spent a whopping ten hours putting together the inch tall models, by sanding down the surfaces of the monkey nut and using acrylic paint to draw on the faces.

Steve, who is an artist, then gave each nut limbs that were made out of teeny tiny pieces of wood and bamboo.

The father-of-two, from Fort Thomas, Kentucky, explained: "I wanted to incorporate as many food elements in my X Factor scenes as possible, as I know British folks often enjoy a takeout while watching."

We reckon even Simon Cowell will go nuts over these!
