Lots of times, police spend ages at crime scenes, searching for fingerprints, DNA samples and the like to find the guilty party.

But one bungling burglar made their job a lot easier - by leaving out his CV!

The clumsy crook had printed off his CV!

Ashley McGarry printed out the personal document when he stole three laptops from Manchester Town Hall but must have forgotten to pick it up before he left - if he was hinting for a job, somehow we don't think he'll be their ideal candidate now!

After very little effort, the police caught McGarry, of Beswick, Manchester, and he was imprisoned for 25 weeks.

Defending, Paul Scully said it was "not one of the cleverest crimes".
