Michael Tomlin has been obsessed with the fruity fizz since he was a child and when he started dating his new bride, Liz, nine years ago, he made sure she knew about his first love straight away by taking her to visit the Vimto statue on their first date.
So when it came to their wedding day, it mustn't have came as a massive surprise when Michael, 31, from Oldham wanted to make sure the purple drink he's passionate about played a part in their nuptials.
So the couple shunned champers for their toast, opting for Vimto instead.
But it didn't stop there - guests were asked to wear purple to co-ordinate with the colour of the wedding at St Gregory's Church in Cheshire.
Michael and his ushers all donned purple ties and cufflinks and even the priest added a purple sash to his outfit!
And at the reception, the vases and candle holders were in the same shade and guests were given Vimto sweets to tuck into.
Michael told the Daily Mail: 'I proposed to her at the same spot, it was only fitting it played a major part in our day. I just love the stuff."
