Because a new survey has discovered that men actually spend nearly two-thirds more on luxury items than we do - and they even visit stops more than us!
In the last year, blokes have forked out a massive £1,390 on items like designer sunglasses and wallets, compared to women who have parted with just £862.
And while us girls will save nearly three years for a big splurge, lads are less patient, with an average wait of two and a half years before splashing the cash.
The study was carried out by gpstudio, a retail design consultancy, and spoke mainly to those whose income was less than £30,000 a year, proving it's not just the higher earners who are treating themselves.
But why the change? Well apparently social media is behind men's spending, with 30 per cent getting inspiration from online shopping.
Blokes questioned also declared that blowing the budget on luxe pieces is due to wanting better quality. We'll use that excuse next time we're after a pair of Louboutins! And nearly a quarter said they viewed the splurges as investment pieces, picking classic pieces instead of the latest trend.
Looks like we won't have to hide our naughty lunchtime spend anymore!
