According to a new poll, three-quarters of couples spend more time on their smartphones than talking to one another - on a date!
The study, by Tigermobiles.com, also found that out of the 1,500 couples asked - who were aged 18-30 - a whopping 90 per cent admitted to texting and browsing social network sites while at the dinner table.
And even in the bedroom, we can't get away from our devices. Four in 10 have been distracted from our partner's amorous advances by our mobiles and one in five even check their phones in the heat of the moment.
Talk about a reason for kicking someone out of bed!
The company recommends leaving the phone behind while out for dinner - and out of the bedroom. We couldn't agree with them more!
Rob Myers, of Tigermobiles.com, concluded that smartphones are having a "shocking influence on couples".
