Carissa Grice, 18, spent many a happy hour chatting to her friends on Facebook and Twitter during her two-week trip to Turkey, thinking she was using the hotel's WiFi.
However, the Greater Manchester-based lass had left her data roaming on and downloaded an eye-watering 630MB on her mum's £30-a-month contract.
Orange charged £8 for each MB over the allowance, which was taken by direct debit from her mum's account.
Carissa, who is trainee nail technician, told The Sun: "I wanted to die."
Thankfully, the company agreed to cut the bill to a much smaller £197.
Very understanding of them, we thought!
