One pet owner had the shock of his life when his missing cat returned nearly a decade after disappearing!

Tigger, the long lost moggy, went walkabout after sneaking through the cat flap in 2005 and failing to return.

His owner, Paul Fenn, 38, was sure his feline was gone for good and gave up hope of his ever being found.

So he was thrilled when NINE YEARS later Tigger was identified at an animal sanctuary by his microchip just ten miles from his former home.

He told The Sun: "I didn't know what they were talking about at first but I recognised him straight away. I hope when it's time to let him out, he comes back."

We hope so too!
