Because new research shows you're more likely to find a partner down the pub than anywhere else.
Although the new craze of dating websites seems to make them the best place to find romance, pub-chain Greene King has discovered that 26 per cent of us met our current partner at our local, compared to the measly 12 per cent who met online.
In fact, over half of us have dated someone we met in a pub, club or bar and 69 per cent of those dates evolved into something more serious - with 36 per cent of those relationships resulting into marriage. Awww.
Mark Bythman, from Greene King, says: "Pubs can be comfortable, welcoming and friendly, ideal for meeting other like-minded real people.
"It is time to get back to basics, stop hiding behind our screens and find love at the local."
So, if you're looking to meet someone new, turn off the technology and get down to the boozer!
