Ross Connor, 33, weighed a hefty 21 stone and so flew to Phuket to endure a year-long kick-boxing camp in the hopes of losing weight.
Twelve months on, Ross was thrilled to have lost an incredible 8 stone on the £6,000 exercise camp and was ready to head home to Peterborough.
But upon arriving at the airport in Thailand, he was stopped by border guards who didn't believe that that the new 13-stone Ross was the same man from his official pictures!
Now unrecoginsable, Ross was detained at the airport and had to prove to officers that it was him – by showing photos that demonstrated his fitness regime and weight loss.
Ross, however didn't seem too fazed and told The Daily Mirror: "Even I had trouble recognising myself."
