But now we can all have a giggle at these stupid sayings, as a new book, Wow I'm A Genieous, The Stupidest Things Ever Said Online, has published the best of the bunch from the internet.
Stupid questions that got us chuckling were the likes of "Is it possible to tell if a movie doesn't use real dinosaurs?" and "If a person swallows too much saliva, could they drown?"
One person got a tad confused about blockbuster Titanic, saying: "I don't believe it's really true cos how could someone be filming it when everyone else was like dead and being drounded?" Oh dear!
Geography also causes problems, leaving one person asking: "Where abouts in Africa is India?"
Then there was the over-cautious person who questioned: "Does anyone know if looking at pictures of the sun will damage my eyes?"
Spellings blunders are also common with statements such as: "Went out for meal tonite and had some really awesome seizure salad" and "People are so uneducated these days. It makes me mad when people don't know the difference between "they're", "their" and "there"… Their really stupid."
And finally, we felt pretty grossed out by the disgusting person who wondered: "How many calories are there in a bogey? I've just eaten one but I'm on a diet." Ew!
