If we had a spare £400,000, we could definitely, definitely think of a few things we'd like to spend it on.

A round-the-world trip, a dream house, an amazing holiday home in New York.

But a parking space? Not so much!

Would you ever spend £400,000 on a parking space?

Yet this is exactly the amount one ambitious seller is looking for, for his parking space.

Admittedly it is close to the Royal Albert Hall in central London and can hold two cars but still, come on! Nearly half a million pounds?

This pricy plot is in the same underground car park that houses a space that sold for a staggering - but much lower - £275,000 ten months ago.

Hobart Slater, the estate agents who are selling it, describe it as a "large secure underground parking space ideally situated for an Albert Court or Albert Hall Mansions resident" and have confirmed they have already had interest in the space.
