Everywhere except in one pub near Clacton, Essex, that is.
The Victory pub in Walton-on-the-Naze is home to the Bah Humbug Club, where customers can relax in a Christmas-free zone without the threat of having to listen to carols or endure talk of Christmas shopping.
In fact any mention of the big day is banned during December and anyone caught breaking the rules are fined.
But despite all this "bah, humbug", landlord Russell Bettany is actually raising money for charity. Members who pay £5 to join the club, receive a black Santa hat and gain access to the club's special corner.
Over the years, Russell Bettany's scheme has raised over £2500 for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH).
And even the grinches themselves get into the festive spirit eventually. Between 12-2pm on the 25 December, they relax the rules so they can wish one another a very merry Christmas.
Russell says: "We will stay humbug, without question. That's never going to change for us. It's totally tongue-in-cheek of course and it's about raising money for the children."
