The 454g tin has been coated in 9 carat gold and etched with the festive slogan 'Bake, Eat and Be Merry'. It was made at Lyle's Golden Syrup factory in east London, before being filled with lashings of syrup. Yum!

Handcrafted, the tin took more than 500 hours to create and is worth a hefty £1,000. Syrup fans will be able to bid for the tin on eBay, with a starting price of £100.

All proceeds will go to the sports charity Newham All Stars Sports Academy, which is located close to the Lyle's factory. The charity gives young people from the area the chance to get involved with sport.
