Think that you go over the top with your Christmas decorations? You can breathe a sigh of relief with the knowledge that they probably aren't as full on as these festive families.

People up and down the country pull out all the stops to ensure that their house is the biggest and brightest in their neighbourhood by adorning their homes with huge displays of shining seasonal lights.

Due to attracting fans, many of these displays feature a charity collection box to raise money for those in need.

The TV show Britain's Craziest Christmas Lights features four of the most dazzling displays in the UK. We dread to think how high their electricity bills must be!
