From bonking to bicycles, here's the lowdown on the nation's hotspots!

BIRMINGHAM: Undisputedly the curry capital of the nation. Much more likely to order a balti, biriyani or bhuna than a roast chicken supper, a whopping 45 per cent of residents here get through three curries a week.

DERBY: The fashionistas hub. A survery of 2,000 people revealed that a fifth of Derby residents wear a leading fashion label every day.

BRADFORD: These randy residents have sex 66 times a year – that's three times more than the good people of Ipswich!

EDINBURGH: The spookiest city, with more paranormal places per square mile than anywhere else, attracts ghouls and ghosthunters from all over the globe.

CAMBRIDGE: On yer bike! A phrase more likely to be uttered here than anywhere else in Blighty as 52 per cent of the locals ride their bike at least once a week.


GLASGOW: This Scottish city has more parks than anywhere else in the whole of Europe, with a staggering total of 90 to chose from.

KENT: Big Brother is watching you! This county has the most CCTV cameras in the UK.

CHESHIRE: Not just the home of Hollyoaks – footballers Wayne Rooney and RIo Ferdinand reside here too. WAG county boasts the most millionaires in the country, with 374 people worth £19million or more.

MANCHESTER: The city that spawned Oasis and Take That has not lost its love for music. The Mancs download the most illegal music per person in the UK, with Ed Sheeran topping the list for most illegally shared artist - an average of 1,616 times per month!

LONDON: The capital has the most Olympic gold medal winners with a huge haul of 29!

NOTTINGHAM: The windy city perhaps? People here spend the most money on baked beans - an average of £25.68 each year.
