You may think cereal is strictly for the am hours, but we're here to tell you it isn't!
Hailing from Sainsbury's, this recipe for Rice Pops-coated Chicken Goujons is a brilliant way to switch things up at dinner time.
Crunchy on the outside, yet succulent once bitten into, these treats are sure to become a firm kitchen favourite!
But don't take our word for it, try them for yourselves...
- 50g plain flour
- 1⁄2 tsp garlic granules
- 2x large eggs
- 125g Sainsbury’s Rice Pops
- 1⁄2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1x tsp vegetable oil
- 460g chicken breasts, cut into even-sized strips
MethodIn a small bowl, combine the flour with the garlic granules and plenty of seasoning. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl.
Place the Rice Pops in medium-sized bowl and crush with your hands. Stir in the paprika.
Pre-heat the oven to 200c/180c/gas mark 6 and lightly grease a large baking tray. Dip each piece of chicken in the flour, then the egg – shaking off any excess – and finally the crushed Rice Pops. Place on the baking tray.
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until golden and cooked through, turning over half way.
Serve with your choice of condiments.
