A classic Mexican dish: recipe for home made Spicy Chicken Fajitas

For a dinner that packs a punch, why not try these amazing Mexican-style home made spicy chicken fajitas. As Mexican Independence Day is coming up on September 16th it's the perfect excuse to serve up these spicy chicken treats.

Santa Maria chicken fajitas

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 500g chicken breast, cut into thin strips
  • 1 sachet of your choice of Santa Maria Fajita Seasoning Mix
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 packet of tortilla wraps
  • To serve:
  • Green salad
  • Fresh tomatoes, sliced
  • Salsa
  • Santa Maria Guacamole Style Topping


1 Coat the chicken in oil and the seasoning mix. Heat a heavy based frying pan until very hot and add the chicken. Fry for about 3 minutes until well browned.

2 Add onions and peppers and cook for a further 2 minutes or until meat is cooked.

3 Serve with warm tortillas, a green salad, tomatoes, mild smooth salsa, guacamole style topping.

4 Roll up and enjoy.
