This fruity recipe involves baking apple strips and a generous sprinkle of cinnamon. Simply whack in the oven and serve for a satisfying snack.
- 4 Braeburn apples
- 1 tablespoon Sainsbury’s Fairtrade Ground Cinnamon
Method1 Preheat the oven to 180°C, fan 160°C, gas 4.
2 Use a mandolin or very sharp knife to carefully slice the apples into very thin round discs – cut right through the core as the seeds will fall out.
3 Line two baking sheets with baking parchment and arrange the apple slices in a single layer. Sprinkle with the cinnamon and bake for 20 minutes.
4 Turn the over up to 200°C, fan 180°C, gas 6 and bake for a further 10 minutes until warm and chewy.
