Chelsee Healey joins the cast of Hollyoaks as a McQueen!
Former Strictly Come Dancing and Waterloo Road star Chelsee will play a "tough, gobby and shameless mum" who is also a member of the notorious McQueen family.
The 27-year-old actress' character, Goldie McQueen, is mum to twin boys Prince and Hunter and cousin to Mercedes and John Paul. They will make their on-screen debut in the autumn.
Speaking about her new role, Chelsee gushed: "I am absolutely thrilled to join Hollyoaks. I've grown up watching it so to be in it is unbelievable. It was an irresistible opportunity, especially to play this character.
"I can't believe I am playing a mum but the boys are so fantastic to work with and we are all delighted by our new family unit."
She added: "Less delighted are the current McQueens who are most put out by our arrival! I'm most excited by her wardrobe, which is a bit like mine in my younger days!"
Meanwhile, a Hollyoaks spokesperson said: "Tough, gobby and absolutely shameless, Goldie will never back down in a fight and she's always game for a good old-fashioned McQueen scam to make some fast cash."
Chelsee first found fame playing Janeece Bryant in Waterloo Road, appearing in the BBC One drama from 2006 to 2012.
In 2011 she was crowned runner-up in Strictly Come Dancing and more recently took part in Bear Grylls' Mission Survive on ITV1.
Interestingly, Chelsee has made a fleeting appearance in Hollyoaks before, as the ex-fiancée of character Danny Valentine!
