The official Big Brother Twitter site announced the C5 show's start date and many followers have been quick to share their excitement.

BB's tweet read: "Join @EmmaWillis for the live launch on Tuesday 7th June, as the housemates enter the unknown #BBUK." One fan replied: "Can't wait, I'll be addicted again as always - I love BB!" Another simply said: "Yessssss!"

Earlier this month, Emma and Big Brother's Bit On The Side host Rylan Clark-Neal teased the new series by revealing this year's Big Brother eye.

Since then, more details have emerged, with Big Brother warning viewers - and housemates - to prepare for "Yin and Yang" and "ominous dark forces".

A new video trailer for this year's series shows Rylan taking a sledgehammer to a pane of glass before smashed fragments form the shape of the BB eye.

A spooky voice can then be heard saying: "The game is changing..." Exciting!
