The Chronicles Of Nadiya will be an exuberant food-inspired journey from Nadiya's birthplace in Luton to her family village in the north east of Bangladesh.
At the moment it's billed as one-off special, but the two-part series will see Nadiya cook up a storm as she embarks on a voyage of discovery.
She will be cooking dishes from her childhood, sharing favourite meals with family and friends, learning new recipes, and meeting others who are as passionate about food as she is.
Taking to Twitter, Nadiya said: "So excited to share my journey with everyone ...#chroniclesofnadiya."
Patrick Holland, head of commissioning, documentaries, added: "Nadiya's story on Bake Off touched the hearts of the nation. We are delighted that she will be using her cooking skills to take us on a journey to such an extraordinary and changing land."
News of Nadiya's TV show comes after she was given the honour of making the Queen's 90th birthday cake, where she decided to bake a three-tier orange drizzle cake.
Nadiya won GBBO last year with the grand finale being a ratings hit with 14 million people tuning in.
