Kat Slater's sister Belinda will be the latest family member to revisit Albert Square following Kat and Alfie Moon's big return to Walford this Christmas.
The role of Belinda has been recast and Carli Norris will play the character.
Carli's previous acting credits include Doctors and Hollyoaks, and she will make a special guest stint as Belinda in the early New Year.
Carli, who actually briefly starred in EastEnders in 1998 as Alice McMahon, says: "Becoming one of the Slater's is an absolute dream, especially to be part of such a big and important storyline. It's brilliant to be working with Shane and Jessie!"
Belinda was last seen at Kat and Alfie's wedding in Christmas 2003, and her return will be during another pivotal moment in her sister's life.
Belinda and Kat have always had a fiery relationship. Both with big personalities, they aren't afraid to say what they think, so their reunion is unlikely to be smooth sailing.
But will they be able to see past each other's faults and get their relationship back on track for the sake of the family?
Viewers will see Kat and Alfie back in Walford this Christmas, which will then set the scene for their new BBC One spin-off drama, as the couple head off to Ireland.
Belinda isn't the only Slater making an appearance in the New Year either, as Belinda and Kat's father Charlie Slater (played by Derek Martin) will also make a dramatic return.
