The annual BBC fundraiser has so far reached an amazing £37,100,687 million, thanks to the efforts of celebrities including Selena Gomez, Nadine Coyle and Peter Andre.
Last year, the show raised an equally impressive £32.6m.
Highlights of the night included a Star Wars sketch with Warwick Davis, featuring Danny Dyer and The Apprentice's Lord Sugar, while the cast of Call The Midwife did Strictly Come Dancing.
Actress Laura Main and professional dancer Brendan Cole won the special edition of Strictly, which saw Bruce Forsyth return to present alongside Tess Daly.
Meanwhile, EastEnders performed musical classic 'Top Hat', while Shane Richie and Peter Andre teamed up to croon in The Vic.
Selena Gomez gave a sultry performance of 'Same Old', after Ellie Goulding kicked off the fundraising telethon with a performance of her new power ballad, 'Army'.
Pop star Jess Glynne sung 'Take Me Home', the official BBC Children In Need single.
Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain showed her fun side in a sketch with comedian Harry Hill, Westlife's Shane Filan duetted with Girls Aloud's Nadine Coyle and Fearne Cotton returned briefly from maternity leave to help present.
Nick Grimshaw and Rochelle Humes took over the hosting duties during the later part of the evening, where they were also joined onstage by Rochelle's bandmate Frankie Bridge.
Beloved broadcaster Terry Wogan was forced to pull out of presenting this year due to a procedure on his back, so Dermot O'Leary stepped in to host.
In a statement on Thursday night, Terry said: "I'm going to miss our wonderful, inspiring evening together, but I'll be with you, watching, cheering and donating."
Children In Need has now raised over £800m for children and young people across the UK since its launch.
